Stan Gibson

Stan Gibson is principal of Stan Gibson Communications, a global technology communications consulting practice. An award-winning technology journalist and an acclaimed speaker and moderator at worldwide industry events, Gibson shared the stage with President Bill Clinton at the Donnelly Group's Forum on outsourcing in Aspen, CO. He also presented a keynote speech in Moscow, Russia at the RUSSOFT Annual Conference. In addition, he appeared in a feature interview in OI-DSI, France's leading magazine for IT executives. In 1999, Gibson won the Jesse H. Neal Award of the American Business Press for Best Editorials.


A 24-year veteran covering Information Technology and business, Gibson has been Executive Editor at eWEEK, News Editor at Communications Week and Software and Systems Editor at Computerworld. Gibson has covered global sourcing extensively, having traveled to India and Russia to create the eWEEK special report, "India 2.0," and the eWEEK cover story, "Russia Revealed."


His series of exclusive eWEEK Interviews included IBM CEO Samuel Palmisano, Dell CEO Michael Dell, Cisco CEO John Chambers, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and many others.


Gibson has written extensively on the new social media, including the use of blogs, wikis, RSS and podcasting in the enterprise. Gibson also authored the IBM Watch blog, the only industry Weblog dedicated to IBM.
