Challenge

Create a three day bi-annual conference for a community of Appreciative Inquiry/Positive Psychology practitioners and corporate HR and training professionals. The conference would provide over 400 attendees with several keynotes, interactive activities, dozens of break-out sessions and social networking opportunities.

Solution

King Fish provided turnkey conference management for all logistics, site selection, F&B management, AV and registration. King Fish also created an event Web site and created all the marketing and event materials including HTML emails, conference brochures, on-site schedules and signage.

Content

The event featured notable keynote speakers such as David Cooperrider, Marcus Buckingham, Martin Seligman and others. In addition, there were over 40 break-out sessions conducted by companies such as Boeing and Yahoo!.

Success

The conference ran smoothly for the nearly 500 attendees and speakers from over 25 countries. Attendee satisfaction was very high and the community is looking forward to the 2009 event.
